How to be Ranger.

This guide has been written to show all you bad rangers out there how to be good, like me, Jony Pro Evolution.

Part 1 - Splitting

If for some reason you are not on a split, try to aid your split by closing the gate after one of them has gone through.



Part 2 - You don't need monks!

A strong ranger will have no problem soloing several enemies inside their own base.



Part 3 - Slowing their runner.

Crippling their runner is a good use of a minute, even when the opposing team has control of the stand and your team isn't running a flag.









Part 4 - Crippling everything!

Archers CAN move, cripple them.



If you suspect they're about to make a break for it, cripple them again.



Part 5 - The ice.

Ice does NOT slow rangers down since they have elemental armour which makes them immune, this means it is a good idea to stop on the ice to cripple someone.

Part 6 - Self Heal.

Self heal is very important for rangers, even when its 3 vs 2 and you have a monk and are against a Rt and an assassin, and are almost on full health it's better to be safe than sorry and use troll.



Part 7 - Trap the enemy.

Trapping the enemy is overrated. When one of them runs through the gate don't shut if after them. Instead run towards them and get back into the fray. This means that everyone knows you are brave.



Part 8 - ARCHERS KITE.

I know this has already been covered, but it's a basic mistake that most rangers make is to assume that archers don't move. CRIPPLE THEM.

Part 9 - The bodyguard also kites.

Little known fact, cripple him too.

I'm not so sure about the idea that you won't get slowed on the ice, since I remember playing Ranger on Frozen Isle and a knockdown clearly started the ice-slowdown.

The thing is that you can fire and move but if you stop completely, you'll get slowed no matter how much elemental armor you have:)

But anywayz: DT is pretty much inactive and we won't play GvG anymore (we just don't have the people), so not much use posting:p

Note: Jony of the guide is the very same Jony who we all know well :-). Makes the joke even better.

Draven told us that after he originally posted this "guide" in QQ forum, Jony raged their guild and stopped talking to him for good. I'd say this represents high grade in the noble art of taking the piss...

Despite the guide, Jony is damn good ranger, IMO (which makes the guide even more fun - it wouldn't be too cool to publicly beat someone who really is bad).
